Mable Amanda Bale

Mable Amanda Bale, 96, died Wednesday, Dec 20, 2023 at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home in Rochester, Minnesota. Mable was born September 8th, 1927 in Rock Dell to Magnus and Edna Vicker. She was born and raised in the rural Rock Dell and Byron area. She attended country school and then worked hard caring for her parents.

She married Bob Prouty and they had 2 daughters, Sharon and Kandi. They later divorced. She then married the love of her life, Gareld Bale on May 28, 1965. They had 2 children, Marie Janet and Michael.

Mable worked for a short period as a nurse aide at Methodist Hospital. After marrying Gareld she spent the rest of her working years working alongside Gareld on their family farm. She loved feeding her baby calves, working in her flower garden, and especially loved driving her John Deere Tractors.

She lived her last several years at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home where she was adored by many. She will always be remembered for her giggles and belly laughter.

Mable is survived by daughter Sharon of Racine and her children Jon, Nick, and Ginger; her son Michael (Kelly) of Byron and their children Jordan and Karley, son in law Jim Lockhart and his son Jamey. She is also survived by great grandchildren Tevin, Logan, McKenzie, Lauryn, Alexis, Alex, Lizzy, and Kayden as well as two brothers Marvin and Pete.
