Brennen Timothy Decker

Brennen Timothy Decker, 23, of Kasson, MN, passed away at his home after a courageous struggle with mental health.

Brennen was born on May 22, 2002, in Rochester, MN, to Kristin and Christopher Decker. He moved to Kasson at the age of one, where he later graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School.

Brennen was a kind, creative, and deeply thoughtful young man. He had a passion for music and often found joy in creating it. He shared a love of basketball with his mom and younger brother and cherished spending time with his family and close friends. Whether through laughter, music, or quiet conversation, Brennen had a way of making others feel valued and seen.

He is survived by his parents, Kristin and Christopher (Alyssa) Decker; his brother, Brady; and two half-brothers, Cooper and Camryn. He is also remembered with love by extended family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.

Brennen’s life, though far too short, was filled with moments of warmth, humor, and deep connection. He will be remembered for his gentle soul, compassionate heart, and the courage he showed each day.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:30PM – 7:00PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Lion’s Park 610 W Veterans Memorial Hwy, Kasson, MN 55944. Burial will be in the Byron Cemetery.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Please call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 — help is available 24/7.

Memorials can be made to the family.

Kristin and Family,

We are so extremely saddened to hear of the loss of Brennen. Our hearts go out to all of you. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Chad and Shelly Bielen

Decker Family,

I am so sorry on the loss of Brennen.  May God give you strength and peace.  “Yes, my soul, find rest in God; he is my fortress.  I will not be shaken.  My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my king gutters rock, my refuge (Psalm 62: 5-7).  I am praying for you and your family.  Our deepest sympathies to all of you.  Kyle and Jackie Johnson-Howell

Brennen was the brother of my best friend Brady. Over the decade of friendship, Brennen was there as support of Brady during concerts, graduation, and in everything. I will never forget Brennen picking us up from school and driving us all home to hangout, he was that cool high schooler we all thought was hilarious. His brother Brady and mom Kristin are a great example of the kind of person he was.

I met Brennen through my grandson Jayson Mendenhall…they were close friends during their school years in Kasson… he was such a cute kid and always very respectful and friendly during my interactions with him when I was visiting Minnesota from New Mexico.  So sorry for the tragic loss of such a young person and kind soul.  My condolences to his family and friends.

Kristen, Chris and Families,

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved son, brother, friend Brennen. While we are at a loss for words, please know that we are thinking of you all.  Sending you all the biggest of hugs, love and comfort during this difficult time.
