Kimberly Kaye Schellhammer

In loving memory, we announce the passing of Kimberly Kaye Schellhammer, a cherished figure in the Kasson community, who departed from this world on April 10, 2025, her 59th birthday. Kim was born on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1966, in Rochester, MN, to Ronald and Sandra (Yentsch) Musolf. With her unmistakable spirit and sharp wit, Kim lived her life with a powerful authenticity that resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A proud graduate of Kasson-Mantorville High School, Class of 1984, Kim stayed friends with many classmates. On May 20, 1989, she was united in marriage with Jeffrey Schellhammer, and together they created a loving home. Kim’s energy was contagious—whether she was serving meals as an energetic waitress at local restaurants or nurturing children as a daycare provider, she touched many lives. Her compassionate nature was evident in her work at Prairie Meadows Senior Living and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where she served for many years in General Services before her health challenges arose.

Those who knew Kim will fondly remember her infectious smile, the good-natured sarcasm, and always saying what she thought. She had a passion for adventure, delighting in motorcycle rides with Jeff through places like Sturgis and the stunning landscapes of North Carolina’s Tail of the Dragon. It was not uncommon to hear her loud music throughout the neighborhood well into the night.

Kim is survived by her parents, Ronald and Sandra Musolf of Kasson, MN; beloved husband, Jeff; her three children: Bailey of Kasson, MN, Cole (Whitney) of Dodge Center, MN, and Allie of Minneapolis, MN; and her precious grandchildren, Stella and Zoey. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Karlene (Kurt) Schulz of Mantorville, MN, as well as sisters-in-law Debbie Danckwart of Gilmanton, WI, and Kelly Blakstad of Wanamingo, MN. She cherished her father-in-law, Roger Peterson of Dover, MN, and held dear many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will keenly feel her absence.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m.  Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Community Celebration Church, 27337 County Hwy 34, Kasson. With a visitation two hours prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville.
